Diabetes.

We specialize in all types of diabetes including Type 1, Type 2 and gestational diabetes. We also help patients with insulin resistance or "prediabetes" to improve blood glucose to delay the diagnosis of diabetes. We do comprehensive diabetes education in the office and work with nutritionists in the community when needed. We download all major glucose monitors, do comprehensive foot exams including screening exams for diabetic neuropathy and peripheral vascular disease. We use 72-hour continuous glucose monitoring to determine blood glucose patterns and to further aid in medication adjustments for those patients who would benefit from this.

Thyroid Disease.

We treat all types of thyroid disorders in patients of all ages.   These include hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, goiter, and thyroid carcinoma. We have an in-office ultrasound machine that we use to evaluate different thyroid conditions and we also do thyroid fine-needle aspiration (FNA) when indicated.

Hormone Replacement Therapy.

We treat women during peri-menopause and post menopause with estrogen, testosterone and progesterone to improve quality of life and diminish symptoms related to menopause. We also treat both primary and secondary hypogonadism in men. Low testosterone is a condition that is commonly over looked in men and can drastically affect sense of well-being, libido, sexual function, and muscle strength.

Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Disease.

We treat all types of metabolic bone disease and will always screen for secondary causes in a patient presenting with osteopenia or osteoporosis. We utilize the newest agents available to treat this condition when needed.

Pituitary disease and growth disorders.

We treat all types of pituitary disease including tumors and pituitary insufficiency. We treat both young children and adults for growth hormone insufficiency.
